Jaguitar

Many moons ago I tried to learn how to play the guitar. I requested an acoustic guitar for my birthday and then embarked on a fairly painful course of lessons. Painful because I insisted on 'holding it wrong.' You see, for some reason I found it more comfortable to hold the guitar left handed (even though I write with my right hand), and the teacher constantly found reasons to make it difficult for me - possibly because the other people in the class were all holding the guitar the 'right way round.' It was a right pain in the arse - even finding left-handed tabs was a fucking chore...so I eventually gave up the whole idea and my quest to become the next Slash (albeit with better hair and superior line of hats) fell by the wayside. The thing is, I can't help but feel I'd have stuck with the old gee-tar had I owned one of these badboys:

Yes - that is the Squier Showmaster H Cat, and I think you'll agree that the decals have more than a passing resemblance to the Atari Jaguar's famous eyes and claw markings. Whether this is pure coincidence is debateable, and according to the marketing guff the H Cat was released in 2003 and discontinued in 2004 - some 10 years after the Jag's untimely demise. Was somebody at Squier a closet Jaguar fan...or am I just looking for meaning in a harsh, harsh world full of bastards?

Rhetorical questions are the best.
